Sir,

I have the honour to inform you, by the express command of Her Majesty The Queen, that Her Majesty has been graciously pleased, on the occasion of Her Birthday Honours, to appoint you a Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (Military Division) in recognition of your distinguished services to the Crown.

The appointment shall take effect upon its publication in the London Gazette.

From that moment, you shall be entitled to bear the title and style of:

Sir John Archibald Hopkins, K.B.E.

Mrs Hopkins shall, accordingly, be entitled to the style of:

Lady Hopkins

The insignia of the Order will be conferred upon you by Her Majesty at an Investiture to be held at Buckingham Palace on a date to be communicated in due course.

May I request that you accept Her Majesty’s sincere congratulations upon so distinguished an honour.

Tengo el honor de comunicarle, por mandato expreso de Su Majestad la Reina, que Su Majestad se ha dignado, con motivo de la celebración de sus Honores de Cumpleaños, nombrarle Caballero Comendador de la Muy Excelente Orden del Imperio Británico (División Militar) en reconocimiento a sus distinguidos servicios a la Corona.

El nombramiento surtirá efecto tras su publicación en la London Gazette.

A partir de dicho momento, tendrá derecho a ostentar el título y tratamiento de:

Sir John Archibald Hopkins, K.B.E.

La señora Hopkins tendrá, en consecuencia, derecho al tratamiento de:

Lady Hopkins

Las insignias de la Orden le serán impuestas por Su Majestad en una ceremonia de investidura que se celebrará en el Palacio de Buckingham en fecha que será comunicada oportunamente.

Le ruego transmitirle la sincera felicitación de Su Majestad por tan distinguida concesión.
